The government transferred approximately ₹18,640 crore under the 22nd installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme on March 13 from Guwahati, Assam. However, thousands of farmers across India have reported that their payment did not arrive despite being registered beneficiaries for years.
The reason is a nationwide re verification drive conducted before the 22nd installment cycle. Nearly 70 lakh beneficiaries were removed from the active list due to mismatched records, incomplete eKYC, or ineligible status. Most of these farmers received no prior notice or SMS about their removal.
If your ₹2,000 did not arrive in March, your name may no longer be in the PM Kisan system. This means your 23rd installment, expected in July 2026, will also not come unless you fix the issue now.
How to Check Your PM Kisan Status Right Now
Visit pmkisan.gov.in and click on “Beneficiary Status” under Farmer’s Corner. Enter your Aadhaar number, mobile number, or registration number. The system will show your payment history and current verification status. If the status shows “Payment Failed” or your name is missing from the village beneficiary list, you need to take immediate action.
Common Reasons Your Payment Stopped
Your Aadhaar based eKYC is pending or expired. Your name in Aadhaar does not match the name in PM Kisan records. Your land records have not been verified by the state revenue department. Your bank account IFSC code has changed and the system shows a mismatch. You fall under an ineligible category such as income tax payer or government employee.
How to Fix It Before July
Complete your eKYC immediately through the PM Kisan mobile app using face authentication or visit your nearest Common Service Centre for biometric verification. If your name has a mismatch, correct it through UIDAI at uidai.gov.in and then update your PM Kisan records. Contact the PM Kisan helpline at 155261 or 011 24300606 for issues related to land seeding or bank account problems.
State level verification typically stops processing three to four weeks before each installment release. Since the 23rd installment is expected in July 2026, completing all corrections before end of May gives you the safest window. Do not wait until June thinking you have time.
